I think I'm lucky in the sense that I've always known that I'm a kinkster, it's always felt very natural and 'normal' - I thought everyone was like me!  So I never felt overly worried about going into a kinky shop, or for that matter, one that sold rubber clothes.  But, with my growing presence on the net I find I receive more and more questions about where and how to find latex clothes.  Only yesterday I was visiting a great London store to collect some outfits for an upcoming shoot.  In the shop we were were discussing that for the majority of people, entering a latex clothes shop can actually be quite a daunting experience...so I thought I'd try and break a few myths, talk about my experiences of shopping for latex and try and let people out there know that IT'S OK to buy latex! :)

My first 'run in' with latex wasn't actually that long ago, probably only about 3 1/2 years.  Up until then I'd been a big fan of leather (on other people) - I still am, I love how it creaks and smells, but wow, latex just takes me to a completely different mind set when slip it on to my skin.  Duh - that makes it sound like putting latex on is easy!  It's not.  Here's myth buster number one - latex may look sexy when it's on, but most people look like a highly uncoordinated deranged dancing monkey when trying to 'slip-it-on'...as I so nonchalently said above.  Well, I hope everyone tries the same tactic as me of jumping up and down to get into an outfit, not that it works lol....note to self - must buy more lube - we'll come to that later.  However, all dancing monkey impressions aside, my only regret in life so far is that I didn't discover latex earlier - much earlier!
